February Letters & Lines Theme
“BLACK & WHITE WITH A SPLASH OF COLOUR”
Black ink on a sheet of bright white watercolour paper with just a touch of colour…so simple but so beautiful! Create a whimsical versal on your page with a black monoline pen and fill it up using your watercolour pencils and a bit of water. Use 2 pencils held together and create a large Italic letter, outline it in black and Zentangle in or around it with your gel pens. Imagine Japanese or Chinese brush letters with a simple bright red chop in the corner.
FIVE times per year, the Edmonton Calligraphic Society (ECS) hosts General Meetings. General Meetings are designed to provide ECS members with the time and space to practice their calligraphy, gain valuable feedback and advice from fellow letterers, and learn about upcoming calligraphic events and volunteer opportunities.
This Membership year will be delivered virtually. Normally, General Meetings are typically hosted on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:00 – 8:50 PM at the Millwoods Library, Seniors and Multicultural Centre, 2610 Hewes Way NW, Edmonton, AB.
A reminder that our membership year is from July 1st to June 30th.
