Please join us for the next Monthly Meeting with Edmonton Calligraphic Society,
Spencerian Splendor with Renita Land
Using a flexible nib and an oblique holder we will begin to learn the delicate Spencerian Script based on the teachings of Roger Platt Spencer. After practicing the basic strokes we will then use these strokes to make lower case letters.
We will then practice a simple watercolour flower using the dot method to make either a bookmark or a gift tag.
Supply List
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Oblique or straight holder
- Nibs – stiff nib Nikko G, Zebra G or Hunt 101
- Ink – walnut, sumi or calligraphy ink
- Water dish
- Watercolor mixing palettes or dish
- Cloth or paper towels
- Floral watercolors -pencils, pans or tube
- Round watercolor brushes with points
- Paint palette mixing tray or dish
