Mentor Meetup – Easy Tag Book Project

Date and Time

Saturday, January 25, 2025 – 10:00 am – 3:00 pm MST

Location

10045 81 Ave NW, Edmonton AB T6E 1W7. (Please note that this is not The Paint Spot but is off an alley one block south of the Art store.)

Come join Carolyn Wagner as she helps us create a book that carries a theme close to our hearts, whether gardening, family memories, pets, travel, etc. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, this event is a perfect way to express your special interests.

In this workshop, participants will create a hinged book using tags as pages. Each tag will be decorated with an assortment of decorative scrap paper, ephemera, photos, stickers, and Washi tape. Pockets can be added to hold business cards, favourite gift tags, photos, and such. Using your preferred form of calligraphy, inspirational quotes can be applied to the pages. The tags will be connected by adhering hinges made with flexible plastic strips from reused packaging. Participants will also learn how to make their own tags by reusing food packaging that would normally be discarded or recycled.

Bring your lunch and a water bottle so you can eat during the break. (There are nearby restaurants if you choose to eat out.)

Find further information and register here.  Registration is open to the public (non-ECS members)
